Before your application is considered complete, we ask that you read and agree to two short documents — our Terms & Conditions and our Code of Conduct. They reflect serious commitments we make to one another, before God and our community. Please take a moment to read them through.
Terms & Conditions
Volo Match — A DBA of Saint Joan Ventures LLC

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your application to and participation in the Volo Match matchmaking service. By submitting an application, paying a fee, or otherwise engaging with our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Code of Conduct.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not submit an application or use our service.
1. Nature of the Service. Volo Match ("Volo," "we," "us") provides a private, faith-based introduction and facilitation service for adult Catholic individuals discerning marriage. We are not a dating app, a marketplace, or a guarantee-based service. We facilitate introductions and provide guidance; outcomes are never promised.
2. Eligibility. To participate in Volo Match, you must:
Volo Match reserves the right to decline or discontinue service at its sole discretion.
3. Vetting and Acceptance. All applicants are personally vetted by our team. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Acceptance is determined solely by Volo Match based on alignment with our mission, values, readiness for marriage, and conduct demonstrated through the application process.
4. Membership and Payments.
5. Refunds and Cancellations. All fees paid to Volo Match are for services rendered, including vetting, coordination, facilitation, and administrative time. Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued solely at the discretion of Volo Match, based on the circumstances of each request.
Memberships may be cancelled according to the terms of the selected tier. However, cancellation does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund for prior billing periods. To cancel a membership, please contact your matchmaker directly or email emily@volomatch.com.
6. Introductions and Consent. Introductions are facilitated only after:
Volo Match does not share personal contact information without permission. Either party may decline an introduction at any stage without explanation.
7. No Guarantees. Volo Match does not guarantee:
All discernment and relationship decisions remain the responsibility of the individuals involved. Volo Match’s role is to facilitate; the outcome belongs to you, your prospective spouse, and to God.
8. Conduct Expectations. Participants are expected to act with charity, honesty, and respect. Harassment, dishonesty, manipulation, or behavior contrary to Catholic moral teaching may result in immediate removal from the program without refund. Full conduct expectations are set out in our Code of Conduct, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Recording of Sessions. Clients may not audio record, video record, screen record, or otherwise capture any Volo Match consultation, coaching session, or communication without the express prior written consent of Volo Match. Unauthorized recording is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
Volo Match itself may record certain calls and communications for service quality, training, and recordkeeping purposes. The practices governing those recordings are described in our Privacy Policy.
10. No-Call / No-Show Policy. If a client fails to attend a scheduled session without prior notice (a "no-call, no-show"), the session will be forfeited and no refund will be issued. Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 12 hours in advance to avoid forfeiture of the session fee.
11. Platform Use and Communication. Volo Match may use third-party platforms (such as email, text messaging, video conferencing, and social media direct messaging) to communicate and coordinate with you. Volo Match is not responsible for the operations or security of these platforms or for actions taken outside our facilitation role. A full list of the platforms and service providers we rely on is provided in our Privacy Policy.
12. Privacy and Use of Information. Volo Match collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By participating in our service, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the Privacy Policy.
13. Internal Documentation. Volo Match reserves the right to document client interactions, feedback, behavioral concerns, and service history for internal operational purposes, safety considerations, dispute resolution, and continuous improvement of our service. The handling of this information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
14. Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Volo Match, Saint Joan Ventures LLC, and our respective officers, members, employees, contractors, and matchmakers shall not be liable for:
Participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to Volo Match in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Modification of Terms. Volo Match reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice by email or through our website. Your continued participation in the service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Termination. Volo Match reserves the right to terminate or suspend your participation in the service at any time if your continued involvement is not aligned with the mission, values, or standards of the program, or if you violate these Terms or our Code of Conduct. Termination for cause does not entitle a participant to a refund.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your participation in the service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cleveland County, North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
18. Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Code of Conduct, constitute the entire agreement between you and Volo Match concerning the service. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Code of Conduct

Volo Match exists to serve traditional Catholic men and women discerning marriage in accordance with the teachings of the Church. This Code of Conduct sets out the expectations we hold for every person who participates in our service. We ask that you read it carefully and accept it in the same spirit in which it is written: as a shared commitment to honor God, one another, and the sacred end toward which our service is oriented.
1. Serious Intentions. I affirm that I am participating in Volo Match with the sincere intention of discerning marriage within a reasonable timeframe. I understand that this is not casual dating, social networking, or entertainment.
2. Faith and Moral Integrity. I affirm that I am a practicing Catholic striving to live in accordance with the teachings of the Church, including chastity appropriate to my state in life. I understand that Volo Match is explicitly oriented toward traditional Catholic values and moral teaching.
3. Honesty and Transparency. I agree to provide accurate and truthful information in my application, communications, and interactions with Volo Match and with other participants. Misrepresentation of my age, marital status, intentions, availability, or personal circumstances may result in removal from the program.
4. Respectful and Timely Communication. I commit to communicating respectfully with my matchmaker and with anyone introduced to me through Volo Match. I will not ghost or disengage without clear and honest communication. Unexplained or prolonged unresponsiveness (generally exceeding 24 hours) is not consistent with the seriousness of this process.
I understand that seriousness in courtship is demonstrated through both financial commitment and responsive communication. Repeated failure to communicate respectfully or consistently may result in removal from the program.
5. Conduct and Maturity. I understand that participation in Catholic courtship requires maturity, self-restraint, and respect for boundaries. I agree to avoid manipulation, pressure, harassment, or any behavior inconsistent with Catholic moral teaching or the dignity of the other person.
6. Discernment, Boundaries, and Consent. I acknowledge that discernment requires prayer, freedom, and time. I retain full freedom to decline or discontinue any introduction at any stage. If I choose not to proceed, I will communicate this clearly and charitably rather than disengaging without explanation.
7. Confidentiality. I agree to treat all personal information shared through Volo Match — whether shared by my matchmaker, by another participant, or in the course of an introduction — as confidential. I will not share screenshots, photos, messages, or private details without explicit permission from the person to whom they belong.
8. Platform Conduct. I understand that initial communication with Volo Match and with potential matches may occur via third-party platforms such as email, text messaging, video conferencing, and social media direct messaging. I agree to conduct myself with discretion, modesty, and professionalism on all platforms used in connection with Volo Match.
9. Respect for the Volo Match Team. I will treat my matchmaker and the Volo Match team with the same respect and courtesy I expect to receive. Disrespect, abusive language, or attempts to circumvent established processes may result in removal from the program.
10. Compliance and Removal. I acknowledge that failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or removal from Volo Match at the discretion of the program. Participation may be discontinued at any time. Removal for cause does not entitle a participant to a refund.
11. No Guarantees. I understand that Volo Match facilitates introductions only and does not guarantee compatibility, courtship, engagement, or marriage. All discernment and relationship decisions remain my own responsibility.
